SwapGlobal raises funding with the support of Marcel Boekhoorn, W Group and Kenzoll Capital

The US provider of OTC derivatives is using the investment to accelerate institutional investors' exposure to pre-IPO shares, foreign equities, compute and digital assets via OTC derivatives

AMSTERDAM / NEW YORK, 23 October 2026 – SwapGlobal, the US provider of OTC derivatives for institutional investors, has raised funding from investor Marcel Boekhoorn, Volodymyr Nosov, founder and president of W Group, and Amsterdam-based private equity firm Kenzoll Capital. The investment supports the expansion of the company beyond crypto derivatives, with the initial focus on having institutional investors take positions in shares of private companies.

The funding, the scope of which has not been disclosed, will provide additional trading and working capital to expand SwapGlobal's derivatives offering and serve a wider group of institutional clients, including hedge funds and asset managers. SwapGlobal operates a platform that allows institutional investors to take positions in pre-IPO shares, non-US shares, compute and digital assets via OTC derivatives, without the underlying values themselves.

SwapGlobal's infrastructure is designed so that eligible institutional clients can trade derivatives without holding wallets, offshore exchange accounts or crypto infrastructure themselves. SwapGlobal manages those positions itself and hedges them on crypto trading platforms so that customers do not have to maintain an account there. Collateral is held with qualified custodians.

With the new capital, SwapGlobal will be able to enter into more contracts and serve more institutional clients. The first transactions, starting with pre-IPO shares, are being prepared. The investment is the first step in a broader capital plan to scale up as the derivatives portfolio grows.

At the same time as the financing, Fedja Terzic joined SwapGlobal as Chief Risk Officer. Terzic is a certified actuary (AAG) and Financial Risk Manager (GARP) and has extensive experience in the field of risk management. He worked for six years at Flow Traders, where he grew to become Global Head of Risk & Middle Office and Managing Director. He then held the roles of COO and CRO at One Trading, the first MiFID regulated crypto derivatives exchange of Europe.

The agreement builds on the previously announced strategic partnership between SwapGlobal and Kenzoll Capital. René van Kesteren, founder and CEO of SwapGlobal, says:
