We keep this list short on purpose. Everything below is strictly functional — no advertising, no cross-site tracking.

cns-search-drawer-w — remembers how wide you resized the search drawer. Expires after 365 days.

Local storage (never sent to our servers)

cns-theme — your light / dark mode preference.
cns-search-recent-v1 — your last few search queries, so you can re-run them quickly.
cns-calc-cache-v1 — a 60-second cache of live rates, so the calculator renders instantly on revisit.
cns-calc-pair-v1 — the last from/to pair you used in the full calculator.
cns-calc-mini-target-v1 — the target currency you picked in the coin page mini-calculator.

How to clear them

You can clear all of the above at any time from your browser's settings (usually "Clear browsing data" → "Cookies and site data"). Nothing breaks permanently — the site just reverts to defaults.

Server-side

When you rate an article, we store a hashed IP and a one-way fingerprint on the server to prevent double voting. These records contain no personal identifiers and are not linked to any other data.
