How much XRP do you need to be in the richest 10%?

How much XRP do you need to own to be among the largest holders of the cryptocurrency? According to a new ranking, this requires less than many investors might think.

With just over 2,000 XRP, a wallet would already be among the richest 10 percent of all XRP accounts. For a place in the absolute top, however, the limit is a lot higher.

The well-known crypto analyst Digital Asset Investor shared new figures on the distribution of XRP over digital wallets on X. He bases this on data that was previously published by Riz XRP.

According to the figures, a balance of 2,081 XRP is sufficient to belong to the largest 10 percent of all XRP accounts. In total, about 822,770 accounts belong to this group.

That means that a relatively modest amount of XRP can already be enough for a place in the top 10 percent of the ranking. However, the differences become much greater the further you look to the top.

According to the shared data, at least 274,000 XRP is required for a spot at the largest 0.1 percent. This group consists of approximately 8,228 accounts.

If you want to be among the absolute top of 0.01 percent, you have to own a lot more. The limit for this is 3.7 million XRP. Only 823 accounts fall into this category by the numbers.

The figures show how unevenly XRP is distributed across the different wallets. While 2,081 XRP would already be sufficient for a place in the top 10 percent, at least 274,000 XRP is required for the top 0.1 percent. The absolute top even owns millions of coins per account.

It is important that the ranking is based on wallets and not on individual investors. One person can own multiple wallets, while crypto exchanges manage large amounts of XRP on behalf of their customers.

Nevertheless, the figures give an interesting picture of the distribution of XRP. Especially the difference between the largest 10 percent and the absolute top shows how concentrated the holdings of the crypto currency are.
