Bitcoin can't keep up with Wall Street's recovery today. XRP drops 4%, but there are also coins that are doing well. Read more.
The US stock market is picking up today after yesterday's massacre, but Bitcoin (BTC) is having a bit more trouble with that. Tech stocks in particular are rising sharply and there are also some altcoins in the crypto market with substantial gains. Bitcoin, on the other hand, remains stuck in the danger zone.
In this price update, we will tell you exactly how the crypto market is currently doing.
Bitcoin doesn't actually do that much today. On the one hand, it is positive that the price is not sinking any further, but you still hope for more if you look at the figures from Wall Street.
The S&P 500 is up 1.01 percent today and the Nasdaq 100 is up 2.06 percent. Chip stocks, which took the biggest hit yesterday, are rising the fastest. Nvidia is up about 4 percent and Micron is up as much as 6 percent.
The good news is that Bitcoin is at least holding above the support level around $75,000. While the price continues to decline, the underlying momentum is cautiously increasing again. This is also called a bullish divergence and could be a harbinger of a recovery.
At the time of writing, the BTC price is at $75,645, 1.01 percent lower than 24 hours ago. In euros, 67,883 are now paid for the largest crypto.
In the altcoin market, we are seeing volatile results today. Ethereum (ETH) is 1.91 percent lower than yesterday, Ripple (XRP) is down 4.44 percent but Zcash (Zec) is up 8.05 percent.
Other risers within the top twenty are Monero (XMR), Dogecoin, Cardano (ADA) and Chainlink (LINK). They just don't get much further than a 1 percent increase.
