XRP price to $28 in 2030: big bank surprises with prediction

The British major bank Standard Chartered has adjusted its price expectations for XRP. The bank expects a significant increase in the coming years and expects the crypto currency to reach a multiple of its current value by 2030. Still, not all XRP investors are enthusiastic about the new forecast.

Standard Chartered has revised its price targets for XRP up to and including 2030. The adjusted expectations were shared by crypto researcher Ripplesinwales on X.

According to the new forecast, the XRP price could reach $7 in 2027. A year later, the bank expects a further increase to 12.60 dollars.

For 2029, the price target is $19.60. Ultimately, Standard Chartered foresees a price of $28 per XRP in 2030.

According to the calculation provided, this would mean that the crypto coin would be worth about 25 times as much in just over three years.

Standard Chartered's new price targets are causing mixed reactions among XRP investors. Some investors find it positive that a large international bank expects a price of 28 dollars in 2030. As a result, the XRP price could rise sharply in the coming years.

Still, not everyone is impressed. Part of the XRP community had hoped for a higher price target. They point out the many collaborations of Ripple, the arrival of XRP exchange funds and the legal clarity that has emerged in recent years.

According to these investors, all these positive developments have not yet had sufficient influence on the XRP price. Some even think that XRP should have been around $7 by now.

Other investors find that criticism exaggerated. They emphasize that a rise to 28 dollars would already mean a huge exchange rate gain. Moreover, they see it as a positive signal that a large bank like Standard Chartered has such high expectations of XRP.

A XRP price of 28 dollars sounds attractive, but in order to reach that level, the crypto currency must rise sharply in the coming years. This requires a lot of new capital.

Large investors in particular can play an important role in this. If banks, asset managers and other financial institutions invest more in XRP, this can increase the demand for the coin. XRP exchange funds can also help with this.

In addition, it is important that XRP is actually used more often for international payments. Ripple has been working on partnerships with financial institutions for years, but that does not automatically mean that they are also using XRP on a large scale.

The market value shows how big the challenge is. With about 61 billion XRP in circulation, a rate of 28 dollars would mean that all circulating coins together are worth more than 1.7 trillion dollars.

That's a huge amount. To achieve such an appreciation, XRP must grow into a much larger player in the crypto market than is currently the case.

Standard Chartered's prediction is therefore ambitious. Whether XRP can actually rise this high depends mainly on how many new investors enter and how strongly the use of the crypto currency will grow in the coming years.
