U.S.-based financial services company Robinhood HOOD$110.45·Market Closed has added approximately $25 million worth of bitcoin to its corporate balance sheet.

The disclosure was made by Johann Kerbrat, Robinhood's Senior Vice President and General Manager of Crypto and International, during an interview on The Starting Block broadcast at the Digital Asset Summit (DAS) Asia conference on Wednesday.

Kebrat explained that the decision to add BTC to the balance sheet represents how deeply we care about bitcoin and the ecosystem.

“Robinhood is a massive company at this point, with a market cap in the $100 billion [range]. So the $25 million worth of bitcoin is not going to change a lot of the current trajectory of the company," he added.

CoinDesk separately reached out to Robinhood’s press team inquire about potential plans to acquire more BTC or other tokens in the future.

The move puts Robinhood among a growing cohort of public companies holding BTC as a treasury asset. Nasdaq-listed Strategy MSTR$159.61·Market Closed started this trend in 2020 and now its followed by more than 170 firms worldwide. Current corporate holders include names such as Tesla, Block, MARA Holdings, CleanSpark, and Riot Platforms, which together account for well over 1.2 million BTC across their balance sheets.

Robinhood, which has over 28 million funded customers globally, is not new to crypto. In July it launched Robinhood Chain, an Ethereum‑compatible Layer 2 built on Arbitrum and geared toward tokenized real‑world assets and decentralized finance.

Since mainnet’s debut, the chain has rolled out tokenized stock products, a stablecoin (USDG), and yield‑bearing lending via Robinhood Earn, while integrating major DeFi protocols like Uniswap and infrastructure from Chainlink, Alchemy, and BitGo.
