The House of Representatives narrowly passes the budget bill backed by President Trump with a vote of 216 to 214. The bill includes an extension to the 2018 tax cuts, at least $1.5 trillion in deficit reduction, beefed up border security, and more. All Democrats present voted against the bill and the bill’s approval was in doubt up until the vote. Some conservatives were not on board earlier this week underscoring divisions within the Republican Party. President Trump celebrating the passing of the budget writing in a post on Truth Social quote, it will be the largest tax and regulation cuts ever even contemplated. The House and Senate have to agree on the same budget bill before the president can sign it. The Senate passed a different bill over the weekend with substantially fewer spending cuts.
